Warren Middle School

Maggie went to a brand new middle school this year - there were lots of exciting 'firsts' that she was able to be involved in. First National Junior Honor Society group, first class of NJHS officers (she was the historian), first Student Council, etc. Since she will be going to High School next year, I thought I would take a few pics to document her time in the inaugural 8th grade class at Warren Middle School - 2008/2009!

Maggie in her school uniform

Yep - she takes school very seriously

In athletics locker room

Maggie was an office aid this year - this is her at her post! It was great that she was "IN" with the administrators and office ladies, and as a nice bonus - no homework to worry about for that class period!
She shared this job with her friend Perkins, aka Jacob. I didn't ever get a good pic of them working - only this one of them headed out.

on the porch

Caught with her feet up on the assistant principals desk!
Mr.Geer threatened to paddle her - as if!
He was putty in her brown-noser hands!
In her athletics uniform. (yes, that is an afternoon snack of Lucky Charms...in a rubbermade container! Apparently, bowls are not quite big enough!)

A quick pic as they left the school for the last time!

Tim's 3rd grade wrap up

Tim has finished up his 3rd grade year - He is officially a FOURTH GRADER!!

Field day was held out on the school playground and in the gym. The kids were able to play all kinds of outdoor games (sack races, 3 legged races, etc.), slide down a giant inflatable obstacle course, jump in a bounce house, play basketball, and on and on and on!

It was a hot day, but the kids loved being at school with friends without any work to do.

There was a little 15 minute rainshower - just enough to cool the kids off and get them nice and wet!

Next, to celebrate the completion of the dreaded T.A.K.S. test, the students who passed were able to go on a field trip to Forney's new community park. They have a sand volleyball pit, basketball courts, playground equipment, a super fun splash park and more. The kids walked since the school is so close, and that was a little adventure too!

Finally, Tim received two awards at the 3rd grade awards ceremony! Yay Tim!!

He earned the reading award and was on the honor roll!

Antique store photos

Maggie's friend Amber requested her senior pics be taken at an antique store here in town. They came out so cute, that when Maggie had a free day from school, I had to run her in for a few quick shots - we didn't take many, but I liked a few of the ones that we did snap. Check out Amber's on the Big shots blog - under "A's graduation"

Mani/Pedi Day

About a month ago, Stef and I went for a mani/pedi/lunch/goof-off day. Here are just a few pics.
My gross feet before

Stef's toes, and the nail guys long pinky nail!

Above mentioned nail guy - he actually asked me to take his picture!

My new toes!

Stef's finished product!

Yep, we are foot models. These babies should be insured!

So then we went out for lunch. Stef was saving a bit for later in the day!

Knowing we were going to begin our new diet, we opted for a fried feast! The fried corn, fried mushrooms and fried cheesticks were yummy, but the fried sweet potatoes were the yummiest!!! The salad was just so that we didn't look like pigs!
The funniest thing is that as we are scarfing down our fried food and clogging up every last artery, my doctor walks in and sits right behind us!
"Hello Dr. Wilson! Yes, I am picking up my Lipitor right after I leave here!"

FIERCE Nana!

Ok time for a few updates! The end of the school year and beginning of summer has been busy enough to keep me from my blog - but today is Sunday, so I have a little time to catch up.

First, my mom came for a visit. We had so much fun together - we went to Canton (she bought a puppy - Gus, a yorkie) and we baked and just enjoyed a long over due week of hanging out together.

Maggie and Tim each had fun with Nana too. Tim and Nana went on a date - out to eat and then videogame shopping - tim's favorite kind of date!

Maggie chose to spend some dress-up time with Nana. Some of you may remember Maggie's "Fierce" dress up pics? Well, she got Nana in on that action! It was the funniest thing ever! We loved seeing Nana's usually perfect hair jacked WAY out and thought the extra peak added to her eyebrows was a nice touch! No need to really mention how funny it was to see my 60-something year old mother in red fishnets!

Mom had trouble staying serious and keeping the "Fierce face" on!

It wouldn't be Maggie if there was no dancing! She gets that quality from her Nana!

I wonder what generations to come will think of these pictures? No matter, Maggie has yet another fun memory with Nana documented!

My Pets. by Tim

This is Tim taking over moms blog. I'm supposed to be in bed.
My pets are Charlie, Sprout, Lila B. and Shae.

Charlie. he is a pomeranian poodle and also he is like my alarm clock. He knows to come to me for when he wants to play He gets super happy when i come home.

Sprout or Kitten. she was a stray We also know her a little bit as Killer. She has brought me a rabbit ( ps a very big one) A RAT, SEVERAL MICE, A BIRD, A FEW SNAKES AND A DOVE TWO DAYS AGO. She tried to kill a tiny baby mouse but i saved it. she has a sweet high pitched baby cry also. she likes to be loved and she kneads and purrs all the time

Shae. I wished upon a star for hi, when i was little. I used to grab him a lot and he would pull out his claws and wrap them around my skull it hurt really bad. Shae has only gone outside a few times but ran right back in so he didnt get in trouble. shae has never killed anything living except for bugs. He makes a noise like a dolphin when he sees a flashlight. He is more affectionate now, but not to bugs.

Lila b. Lila is so small but has gotten bigger, but she will always stay small because she is a dwarf bunny. she likes to eat bananas, grapes, oats, hay, pellets, cilantro, radish leaves, cucumbers, brocoli and carrots she likes the banans covered in oats the best . Oh, and cheerios and raisins too. By the way if you think we have a pig, you are wrong. Lila b. snorts like one!

FHE games night

We had a nice dinner (breakfast) on monday night and went outside for a quick FHE. We just played a game - it was a simple night.

Tim was the first outside, so he did a few flips before everyone piled onto the trampoline!

I was the first to get out in the game, so I got bored and began taking pics of myself.
I see now why everyone calls me childish!
