Y'know, I like to think that I have as big of a heart as the next guy - but sometimes, I am dumbstruck at what constitutes for "in need". I guess compassion is a virtue that I need to work on this year.
I got a paper cut on the pizza box the other night - is someone going to bring me dinner for the next several days? I am clearly incapacitated.

Jenni, I'd bring you a four-course meal if I could. (Why can't I be in your ward and live closer to y'all??) I'm so sorry about your finger. That really hurts. Can you just order more pizzas? Haha I'm just kidding. :o)
Oh Jenni I am SO sorry this has happened to you. Tears are streaming down my face even as I'm typing.:( I just can't believe that this has happened to you. I will be right over to bring you and your family dinner and do some light house keeping, you know some sweeping, laundry and dishes. I know how bad it hurts when a paper cut gets wet!! OH the stinging!! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Here's to a speedy recovery. And honestly during this time if you need anything, ANYTHING at all please don't hesitate to call me! I am here for you and your family.
Its such a good thing that I have not been the one to be called as the compassionate service leader - the bishop must be inspired!!! I would be the girl saying - "you need what? No - get over it, suck it up and order chinese"!

I'm a pretty compassionate gal but I totally know what you mean. You aren't going to hell.
