Parade!

The drill team was so excited to be asked to participate in the Neiman Marcus /Adolphus Childrens Holiday Parade this year!
They were originally asked to march/dance - but then were bumped up to the coveted spot of dancing a routine just before the end - they were to introduce Santa!
They worked really hard and practiced for weeks - then had to change everything the day before the parade because of their new role! They were champs and pulled it off beautifully!
My mom, dad, Steph and Matt bought tickets and drove up to sit in the special stadium seating where everything was being televised.
Tommy volunteered along the parade route and I was asked to photograph the event. That is a big deal because it is a closed parade - not open to a lot of media!
Tim came a log with me and helped me photograph and video!

It was fun to come home and watch it from the perspective of the tv viewer!
a shot during dress rehearsal of the FHS team and the team who marched ahead of us. These poor girls had been up since about 4 am and ended up staying up very late to perfect their routine. Then they were to be in position the next morning before dawn! It was a VERY long weekend - but such a great once in a lifetime experience!
